The LiftMaster LA500PKGUL Dual Swing Gate Opener is a heavy-duty dual swing-gate operator designed for high-traffic residential, commercial, industrial, and restricted-access applications. Rated for gates up to 18 ft. long or weighing up to 1,600 lbs. per leaf, it delivers up to 300 cycles per day and features a durable commercial-duty aluminum die-cast housing. Its continuous-duty 24VDC P3 Motor® and precision-machined all-metal worm gear reduction provide reliable operation, while the system opens a gate 90 degrees in approximately 15-17 seconds. Designed for convenience, security, and dependable access control, the LA500PKGUL includes a primary arm, secondary arm, control board with battery backup, two 7Ah batteries, monitored photo eye, and one FREE compatible remote with visor clip. The battery backup provides up to 500 cycles or 24 days of standby power, while Security+ 2.0 technology encrypts radio signals to reduce interference and supports up to 50 remote controls. MyQ integration also enables remote monitoring and control from a compatible smartphone, while adjustable open/close sequencing and anti-tailgate functionality provide additional control over gate operation. Built-in safety features include a monitored photo eye with safety reversing, a configurable warning alarm, and three monitored safety inputs on the main board plus three on the expansion board for connecting additional photo eyes, edge sensors, and loop detectors. The LA500PKGUL meets UL325 Usage Class I, II, III, and IV requirements and is solar-ready for installations where convenient AC power is unavailable.
